Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam and Research Institute (AVCRI) was founded and led by the visionary Padmashri P. R. Krishnakumar, fondly called Krishnakumarji.
He was driven by a profound desire to help suffering humanity through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. His vision has fostered the evolution of AVCRI as a space where healing transforms into hope, and care becomes a shared journey between patient, caregivers, and community.

With the Sustainability Index Metric (SIM) Assessment and Rating by Build to Sustain, AVCRI has now begun to quantify their environmental and social impact, and turn long-standing good practices into a measurable Sustainability report. Our reporting framework will also help AVCRI be ready for future ESG audits.

Ran a healthcare-specific SIM assessment covering 100+ data points across energy, water, waste, hygiene, staff welfare and governance.
Evidence Collection
Collected supporting evidence – utility bills, biomedical waste records, policies, infection-control protocols, training logs, etc.
ESG Report Generation
Generated a SIM ESG report showing scores across Environmental, Social and Governance pillars, with a clear breakdown by section.
3-Year Improvement Roadmap
Co-created a roadmap focused on: energy efficiency in clinical blocks, responsible water use, biomedical waste management, and structured staff training.
