Regulators and verifiers
If someone checks your emissions number, will it hold?
India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme sets emission-intensity targets for about 490 units in seven sectors against an FY2023-24 baseline. A number that holds has a defined boundary, complete activity data, cited factors and workings anyone can reproduce.

Auditors and assurance providers
Which grid emission factor did you use, and from which year?
Generic international tools get India wrong. We use CEA grid factors by region, record source, version and year against every factor, and hand your assurance provider an evidence pack; we do not audit our own number.

SEBI
What will BRSR Core ask you to disclose and assure?
Listed companies file a BRSR; the smaller BRSR Core set is subject to reasonable assurance. The data must exist before it can be disclosed, so an assessment usually comes first.

Every rating we publish follows the same rules, whatever the sector.
- Unanswered questions score as unanswered, never as assumed.
- Policies, bills, registers, certificates and permits are reviewed, then checked on site: walkthrough, systems, waste and effluent, interviews.
