What lenders, insurers and their borrowers are being asked

Each question says who asks it and why now, and links to the service that answers it.

01

SEBI

What does your own BRSR need from branches and offices?

Listed entities file a BRSR, with BRSR Core indicators subject to reasonable assurance. For an office-based business, Scope 2 is purchased grid power and emission intensity can be reported per employee.

02

International investors

Do you disclose in the language international investors read?

IFRS S1 and S2, incorporating the SASB standards, give international investors disclosure on sustainability and climate-related risk.

03

Banks and NBFCs

What should a company give its bank or NBFC when asked about sustainability?

The lender wants a credible third-party position, not a brochure. An assessment with a rating certificate gives it one.

How the evidence is built

Every rating we publish follows the same rules, whatever the sector.

  1. Unanswered questions score as unanswered, never as assumed.
  2. Policies, bills, registers, certificates and permits are reviewed, then checked on site: walkthrough, systems, waste and effluent, interviews.
  3. Every number has a trail: an evidence index with the rating, and a methodology annexure with every formula, factor and source.
